Helene Extended Stay Program in Pisgah National Forest
Extended Stay Options for Those Impacted by Hurricane Helene and Recovery Support Volunteers
Pisgah, NC (October 29, 2024) — In response to the impact of Hurricane Helene, Naventure-operated campgrounds in the Pisgah National Forest launched the Helene Extended Stay Program, offering longer stays to those in need. For a limited time, the usual 14-day limit will be waived at designated locations, enabling guests to stay for a longer duration.

North Mills River Campground
PROGRAM DATES:
The Extended Stay Program will run from 10/28/2024 thru 02/28/2025.
2024 RATES:
Standard campsite rates will apply.
Standard site: $35.00/night
Electric site: $43.00/night
Full Hookup site: $49.00/night
The rates above include access to the assigned campsite and the standard amenities offered, including access to potable water, showers, flush toilets, and a dump station. Guests are responsible for providing their own living arrangements, such as tent(s), vehicle(s), linens, food, dishes, toiletries, and other necessities.
Individuals can request a preferred ‘Site Type’ (e.g., Standard, Electric, or Full Hookup), and will then be assigned a specific campground and campsite by the Campground Site Manager based on availability.
Guests are permitted to stay up to 02/28/2025.
Payment is due in full upfront within 48 hours of approval. Once reservation is confirmed, guest will receive a Square invoice to the application email to process initial payment.
