Ken Stamps
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
As CEO of Naventure, Ken Stamps is responsible for setting and implementing the strategic vision for the company; overseeing all operations including marketing and finance; and aligning the team and organizational culture to achieve the company’s strategic vision. Prior to joining the team, he founded the aerial zipline company Navitat, located in Asheville, North Carolina. Upon its opening in 2010, Navitat was widely acclaimed as one of the best canopy tours in the nation. In 2011, Navitat opened a second location in the mountains above Los Angeles, and in 2015 a third location was opened in Knoxville, Tennessee. As the leader of Navitat, Ken envisioned the Navitat brand promise of “Thrill-Educate-Inspire,” and guided every aspect of the creation, marketing and delivery of the Navitat brand at each location.
Before founding Navitat, Ken had a 27-year career in the architecture/engineering industry and in 2000 founded and led an innovative facility management consulting company with offices in Detroit, Chicago, and Los Angeles. A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in landscape architecture and urban planning, Ken also studied architecture, real estate development and was a licensed real estate professional, registered landscape architect and was nationally certified through Council of Landscape Architectural Review Boards.
Asheville, NC is now home for Ken and his wife, Allison. He is active in several tourism, professional, and environmental organizations:
