Michael has spent most of his career in the real estate capitalization and development business, and for the last two decades he has focused his involvement on businesses providing outdoor recreation and lifestyle opportunities for consumers.  His experience includes coastal real estate and marina development, marine sporting, travel sports, and outdoor recreation outfitters and lodging.

In addition to his role with Naventure, Michael currently oversees the finance function for Sea Oats Group, LLC, owner of Cinnamon Shore, a several hundred-acre coastal resort development located on Mustang Island, Texas, which will be comprised of 2,500+ residences and commercial amenities such retail, restaurants, and a marina. Michael also serves as the lead partner on the development of Lively Beach, a coastal eco-resort planned to include up to 160 vacation rental units, also located on Mustang Island. 

Michael was a co-founder of OneWater Marine Holdings, LLC (NASDAQ- ONEW), one of the largest publicly traded boat dealership groups in the United States.  He was also the principal owner/developer of Ocean Isle Marina, one the largest marinas on the east coast. Michael was an advisory board member of LakePoint Sporting Community, a sports-centric, mixed-use development destination located in the Atlanta area, targeting travel sports consumers.  He was a major shareholder and board member of the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC), one of the largest and most revered outfitters in the nation. 

A long-time resident of metro Atlanta, Michael is an active outdoorsman, sportsman, and boater, with his son frequently alongside during his adventures.
