Vehicle Reservation Program Returns to Alexander and Silver Glen Springs This Summer
Weekends & Holidays | May 24 – September 1, 2025
Ocala, FL (April 18, 2025) — The visitor-friendly vehicle reservation system will return this summer at Alexander Springs and Silver Glen Springs Recreation Areas to help manage visitation during peak times. From May 24 through September 1, 2025, vehicle reservations will be required on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays to support a smoother arrival experience and provide a more enjoyable visit for everyone at these popular freshwater springs.
What You Can Expect from the Reservation Program
The vehicle reservation system has proven to be a game-changer for visitors, offering:
Guaranteed Entry: Say goodbye to uncertainty and long waits—secure your spot in advance for guaranteed access to the springs.
Flexibility: Enjoy the freedom to leave and return on the same day with your reservation, making the most of your time to explore or relax.
New Cancellation Alerts: If your preferred date is sold out, you can sign up for cancellation alerts on up to three different dates and be notified when a spot opens up.
Visitors have praised the initiative. One enthusiast remarked, “I say continue the weekend and holiday reservations and do it for the other springs too! I’d gladly pay the extra fee to guarantee my spot and not have to be in line by 5 a.m.”
Chris Lakey, Naventure Director of Operations in Ocala, shared, “We are proud to continue and expand this program, which has made visiting Alexander and Silver Glen Springs more enjoyable and sustainable. This approach is tailored to the needs of today’s visitors and demonstrates how thoughtful planning can improve both the visitor experience and environmental stewardship.”
