Improving Access at Clearwater Lake
At Clearwater Lake in the Ocala National Forest, we have made significant improvements to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Recognizing the need to address erosion issues and enhance the stability of the access path to the swimming beach, our team embarked on a comprehensive project to reroute and reinforce this vital area.
Previously, the direct path to the swimming beach was not only causing severe erosion but also degrading to the point where it became a tripping hazard. To combat these issues, we carefully rerouted the pathway, creating a more sustainable and secure route for our guests.
One of the key enhancements was the addition of berms, which we fortified with native plantings from our very own nursery. These plantings not only help control erosion but also contribute to the natural beauty and ecological health of the area.
These improvements reflect our commitment to preserving the natural environment while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all who visit Clearwater Lake.
